Backache
Backache is the most common problem encountered in our stress oriented modern
lifestyle. Ranging from a wrong posture in sitting or sleeping to the painful
condition-called slipped disc, Backaches have many causes and manifestations.
The most common cause being a wrong posture and lumbago rheumatic pain in
the lower back or lumbar spondylosis.
The patient generally feels a dull aching pain in any portion of the
back but most probably in the lumbar region, which makes stopping or sudden
movement painful. Sometimes, sudden heavy manual work after rest or lifting
a heavy weight or an abrupt jerk can intensify the pain in the back. The
condition is aggravated by constipation, physical work and obesity.
Precautions:
The patient struck with the pain should take perfect rest on a hard bed.
In the case of chronic patients, the spinal exercises and specific Yoga
asanas should be performed for strengthening the back muscles.
Cure with Magnetic Therapy:
The magnets should be applied locally over the seat of the pain. In case
the pain extends horizontally, apply the south-pole oil to the affected
portion and place the North Pole over the painful spot on the right side.
At the same time apply the South Pole over the painful spot on the left
side.
In case the pain extends in the vertical direction, the magnets should
be applied on the painful spots with North Pole in the upper portion and
South Pole in the lower portion. Sunbathing of the affected portion is
highly useful.
Now a days, convenient options of magnetic belts with several embedded
low-power magnets are available for constant wearing around the back.
The belts are convenient and effective against back pain.
